"Boomer tried to tell me I parked illegally on my own property"

I have a large backyard that has room for extra company to park etc. So my mom left her car at my house while she traveled rather than pay 10 dollars a day at local airport. Put her car in

backyard and wake up the next morning to a hand written note that the alley way was private property snd if it was not moved immediately It would be towed. So me being me I
  • 04
pulled the deed to my house, and sure enough I have easement access to said ally to get to my backyard. Not only do I have access to it.. my house
  • 05
is the oldest house on my street snd the original deed actually granted the other properties access. So I printed out a copy od my deed snd took it to Boomer

it. Their access to the road was all granted as additions to my property way before I lived here.

LadyBearPenguin 20 hr. ago We had a backyard bbq once and we let a family member park on our lawn to be close to the door and avoid blocking the sidewalk.
  • 13
Neighbors across the street called the cops and they came and acknowledged that the car was fully on our property and not illegal to be there. But the officer had us move it anyways so they wouldn't keep
  • 14
calling. I mean not a big deal, but in my mind it made more sense for the officer to go there and tell the guy not to call 911 for non-emergencies instead of just reinforcing his behavior.

BlueCollarGuru. 19 hr. ago Boomers are wild man. I was putting trash in a dumpster and this lady pulls up in her CAR and says "you can only use that if you live here". I said "I know. I've used it the entire two years I've lived here"
  • 17
She goes "where do you live" "Here, dumb . I just said I live HERE". You could literally see her reboot.

Nice_Rope_5049. 20 hr. ago My 2 sisters and I were trapping a feral kitten on the premises of an apartment building, about 5 stories high. I had spotted the cat from my office building earlier that week.
  • 19
As we're watching the hungry kitten size up the trap, desperate for the food inside, and all of us holding our breath, this old harpy appears on her balcony and starts yelling at us,
  • 20
I don't even remember what she was saying. We didn't respond so as not to scare the kitten away, who was so close to getting in the trap.
  • 21
So the harpy starts clapping her hands at us and repeating herself, getting louder and louder. The gist was "get off this property, you're not allowed here."
  • 22
We got the kitten (who is now my sweet, senior cat), so there's the important thing.
  • 23
But I was in my late 30s at the time, and the incident made me feel like a doom, idk, just a sad, dark feeling. Like is this how we end up? I think of it now and then, as a cautionary tale. I'm early Gen X. I want to be sure that people are welcome on my lawn. , I want to bring them refreshments! Please don't let that be me.

Bob Nobber 1 day ago Don't know about your alley, but local ordinances here allow only "recreational" vehicles to be parked on unimproved surfaces.

Independent_Time_322 OP 1 day ago. edited 23 hr. ago It wasn't where the car was parked at.. it was the fact that I used the "private road to get to where it wss parked" and

they knew the owner of the property, as it said on the letter. Funny thing is they obviously didn't know becsuee they didn't bring it to my attention.
